Joel Kinnaman and Cleo Wattenström were married between 2015 and 2018.
The actor split from his tattooist spouse Cleo Wattenstrom in 2018. News of the separation emerged in January 2019.
The couple first started dating in 2014. Kinnaman keeps his private life out of the spotlight, and his marriage to the tattoo artist was not announced for months after it happened.
In 2016, the 36-year-old actor was talking about his upcoming movie, Suicide Squad, and the tattoos he and the cast got together, when co-host Aisha Tyler mentioned his girlfriend.
"Your girlfriend is actually a tattoo artist, so what does she think of it?" she asked.
"My wife," Kinnaman corrected.
Joel then revealed in subsequent interviews that they had married at ‘Same Day Marriage’ in Los Angeles, which offers quick marriage ceremonies for a few hundred dollars.
Despite no longer being romantically attached, the pair are still good friends and have been spotted out and about after the separation with their mutual friends and new romantic partners.
