John Robertson Auld (7 January 1862 – 29 April 1932) was a Scottish footballer who played for Sunderland and Scotland as a central defender. Auld played for Sunderland from 1890 to 1895 where he won two League Championships, in; 1892 and 1893, and the 1894/95 World Championship. After making 100 league appearances and scoring five goals, Auld left Sunderland for their arch rivals, Newcastle United. He later became a director of Newcastle United.
