John James Neimore (February 23, 1862 – March 9, 1912) was an African-American publisher and editor noted for founding the California Eagle–the oldest African-American newspaper in the West. He is also notable for appointing Charlotta Bass as his successor upon his death, making Bass one of the first African-American women to operate a newspaper.
