John Tembey (11 September 1936 – 29 July 1994) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s. He played at representative level for Great Britain and Cumberland, and at club level for Whitehaven (two spells), St. Helens and Warrington, as a prop, or second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12.
