Jose Eleuterio Gonzalez Mendoza (born 20 February 1813, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) was a Mexican physician and philanthropist, founder of the UANL and the Hospital Universitario José Eleuterio González. His father was Matías Gonzalez, an officer of the Royalist Army and his mother was Josefa Mendoza de Gonzalez.
