José Mailhot (1 February 1943 – 24 May 2021) was a Canadian ethnolinguistic consultant, linguist and translator. She focused in particular on the culture and language of the Innu of Quebec and Labrador. Mailhot transcribed into Innu, translated into French and published the book Je suis une maudite sauvagesse commissioned by An Antane-Kapesh.
