Josef (Yousef) Waleed Meri (Arabic: يوسف وليد مرعي Yūsuf Walīd Marʿī, born December 23, 1969) is an academic who specializes in the history of interfaith relations in the Middle East in past and present, medieval Islamic history and civilisation, and the history of religion. He is presently a faculty member of the College of Islamic Studies, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Doha, Qatar. Meri is also a Faculty Associate of the Center for the Study of Jewish-Christian-Muslim Relations, Merrimack College. From 2013-2014 he served as eighth Allianz Visiting Professor of Islamic Studies (2013-2014) at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He was a Fellow of St. Edmund's College, Cambridge, and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre of Islamic Studies, Cambridge University.
