Josiah Hungwe (born 7 November 1935) was a Provincial Governor of Masvingo and later became the pioneer Minister of State for Liaising on Psychomotor Activities in Education. Hungwe is a member of Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front (ZANU PF). He is known for making controversial comments and denying them. For instance, on 25 May 2018, Hungwe remarked at a project commissioning ceremony that if President Emmerson Mnangagwa could shoot his way into power in November the previous year, nothing would stop him from using same strategy to perpetuate himself in office. Hungwe later denied making such statement. On 27 August 2018, he told an audience that he would retire from active politics once President Emmerson Mnangagwa was reelected but later recanted saying his statement had been misquoted in a jest.
