Mohamed Hashim Mohamed Kabir (Sinhala: කබීර් හෂීම්, Tamil: கபீர் ஹாசிம்; born 19 May 1959) popularly known as Kabir Hashim is a Sri Lankan politician and economist. He is a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka representing the Kegalle District and is the Minister of Highways, Higher Education and Investment Promotion of the government of Sri Lanka. He was former General Secretary of the United National Party. He was educated at Royal College Colombo and Trinity College Kandy. Hashim has obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honors from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
