Karim Khalili (Persian: کریم خلیلی) is the current chairman of the Afghan High Peace Council, who served as Vice President of Afghanistan from 2004 to 2014, in the administration of President Hamid Karzai. Khalili was appointed first time as Vice President in 2002 and was elected as running mate of Hamid Karzai in 2004. Since 1989 he has been one of the main leaders of the Wahdat political party of Hazara.
