Khaled Barakeh (born 1976) is a Syrian contemporary artist and cultural activist based in Berlin, Germany. Originally trained as a painter in Damascus, he later studied in Denmark and Germany, developing a multidisciplinary practice that addresses themes of exile, displacement, memory, and censorship. His projects include the public installation Mute (2020), the exhibitions ABSENCED (Malmö City Library, 2024) and The Shake (MAC Belfast, 2024), and Die blaue Stunde (Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, 2018). In 2017, he founded coculture, a Berlin-based non-profit platform supporting displaced and exiled artists.
