Kirori Singh Bainsla was a retired Colonel of the Indian Army and in 2007 led a caste protest movement in the state of Rajasthan. This demanded reservation in government jobs for the Gurjar community in Rajasthan. He led the Gurjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti which has led the wave of protests across the state.
