Kristin Hannah (born September 25, 1960) is an American writer. Hannah is the author of 24 books, including Winter Garden (2010), The Nightingale (2015), and The Great Alone (2017). Hannah's The Nightingale has sold over 2 million copies and has been published in 43 languages. Three of her novels have been optioned for films, including Home Front (2012) with Chris Columbus to direct, The Nightingale, which is currently in production with Michelle MacLaren signed on to direct, and The Great Alone.
