LaTanya D. McDade (born 1973) is the first African American and first woman to ever serve in the role of Superintendent of Prince William County Public Schools, in the US state of Virginia. McDade has had a long career in education at Chicago Public Schools in Chicago, Illinois, formerly a teacher, principal, and the Chief Education Officer. Year over year, McDade has improved test scores in PWCS while reducing chronic absenteeism, setting up students for a successful post-secondary education and career.
