First time: July 2014 – April 2016 *Rumoured to be having an affair and cheating on their partners with each other throughout late 2013/early 2014
Second time: June 2016 – July 2018
Third time: September 2018 – present
Chay Suede and Laura Neiva first met in early 2013 while working on the film Jonas, but they did not become romantically involved until 2014. Their relationship became public in September of that year, a few months after Suede's breakup with singer Manu Gavassi.
Their romance sparked speculation that Suede had cheated on Gavassi with Neiva. During her appearance on Big Brother Brasil in 2020, Gavassi revealed that an ex-boyfriend had repeatedly cheated on her, even in her own bed. Although she never named him, many viewers believed she was referring to Suede and speculated that Neiva had been the other woman. Fans also pointed to Suede's apparent likes on Neiva's Instagram posts throughout 2013 and early 2014, while he was still in a relationship with Gavassi, and Neiva was still dating Felipe Solari. These allegations, however, have never been publicly confirmed, nor denied by any parts.
Throughout their relationship, Suede and Neiva have gone through two publicly reported breakups. They first separated in April 2016 before reconciling in June of that year. They got engaged for the first time in March 2017. Their second breakup occurred in July 2018, when they were already engaged and had planned to marry that December. During their split, Suede supposedly got closer to his ex, Gavassi, and they had a few dates. However, Suede and Neiva rekindled their romance later that year, getting engaged for the second time in September; with their reconciliation becoming public in November 2018. They eventually tied the knot on February 2, 2019, in a ceremony held in São Paulo, Brazil, and have remained married ever since.
The couple have three children together: Maria, born on December 26, 2019; José, born on November 17, 2021; and Ana, born on November 8, 2024.
