Laureano Calderón y Arana (Madrid, 4 July 1847 – Madrid, 4 March 1894) was a Spanish chemist, pharmacist, physicist and crystallographer, brother of the also scientist Salvador Calderón and of the journalist Alfredo Calderón y Arana [es]. Associated with the Institución Libre de Enseñanza, he was the inventor of an instrument for crystallographic studies called the «estauróscopo» and one of the pioneers in the study and teaching of biochemistry in Spain.
