WELSH rugby star Lee Byrne is used to making the headlines - while his new girlfriend Andrea Benfield is certainly an expert at reading them.
We can exclusively reveal that Welsh rugby has its latest celebrity couple after Lee and Andrea got it together just before Christmas.
TheWelsh full-back and the ITV1Wales and Daybreak newsreader have regularly been spotted around town and, this week, Andrea confirmed they are an item.
She said: "Yes, it's true, the rumours are true.We are together and it's going well. We've been together since November and so far, so good."
Although A n d r e a didn't want to divulge too much about her relationship with the Wales and British Lions star, she said she was having a great time with the 31-year-old Ospreys player.
Newsreader Andrea is dating Wales ace Lee, above And she admitted that they've had a very modern romance - after meeting each other on Twitter.
She told us: "Strangely Lee and I had never met each other but we started exchanging a few tweets - a very 21stcentury start to a romance! He then found out through a friend of a friend that I was single and asked me out."
The pair have been spotted arm-in-arm around town and Lee also regularly drops Andrea off at work at the ITV1 studios in Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff.
Lee is preparing for Wales' Six Nations campaign and Andrea, who presented the Christmas and New Year bulletins on Daybreak, will be there to cheer him on.
