Grand Master Chong Min Lee is a native of Seoul, Korea. He began his study of Hapkido in his teenage years and made Hapkido a lifetime pursuit though not a direct student of the late Grandmaster Yong Sool Choi. Grand Master Lee attained the self promoted rank of 9th Degree Black Belt and the title of self promoted Grand Master. Grand Master Lee moved to the United States in June, 1980. He opened the Hapkido Center and formed the World Hapkido Association. Grand Master Lee taught martial arts to the Police Department in Plainfield, New Jersey. The Hapkido Center is located in Warren, New Jersey where Master Lee is still instructing students in Hapkido. He has been instructing students in Hapkido for over 42 years. Grand Master Lee is Master Instructor of the Hapkido Center, President of The World Hapkido Association and is also a member of the Law Enforcement Officers Association New Jersey State.
