Lie-Liang Yang from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom is the professor of wireless communications in the School of Electronics and Computer Science. He received his M.Eng and Ph.D degrees in communications and electronics from (Northern) Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China in 1991 and 1997, respectively, and his B.Eng degree in communications engineering from Shanghai Tiedao University, Shanghai, China in 1988. He was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2016 for contributions to multicarrier communications and wireless transceivers and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) in 2011. He has been a distinguished lecturer of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society since 2016.
