Elizabeth Kate Picard (née Sleigh; 11 October 1927 – 8 April 2022) was an English lawyer and historian who specialised in the history of London. Born in Essex, she had a long career as a solicitor beginning her work as a historian, initially as an avocation in retirement. Her first book, Restoration London, was published in 1997, the year she turned 70. It was successful, and she wrote another four books on different historical periods, with the last being published in 2017.
