Maruthur Gopalan Ramachandran (17 January 1917 – 24 December 1987), popularly known as M. G. R., was an Indian politician and film actor who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for ten years between 1977 and 1987. He was also a philanthropist and a humanitarian icon. In 1988, M.G.R. was awarded India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, posthumously.

There has been no one born on this earth like him. Iam his die hard fan. It is hard to behave the way we speak and advice others. But he lived like a king with no bad habits such as drinks,drugs,tobacco etc..,. Karunanidhi kicked him out of DMK because to hide his accounts. Later MGR made Karunanidhi to forget about the Chief ministership for thirteen continuous years as long as he lived. Jayalalithaa is the enemy of Karunanidhi an is the vice versa. But MGR was the friend of every one... Oh god, iam only 15 years... before I die, i want u to bring another MGR from the soul of the old MGR on this earth in Tamilnadu
