Margaret Ann Throup (born 27 January 1957) is a British Conservative Party politician. A former business consultant and biomedical scientist, she has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Erewash since the 2015 general election. She is currently a government whip, having been appointed a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in September 2019.
