Maher al-Sharaa is a Syrian politician and physician who is currently serving as the Secretary-General to the Presidency since April 2025. He previously served as the Acting Minister of Health in the Syrian caretaker government from December 2024 to March 2025. He is the brother of Ahmed al-Sharaa, the current President of Syria.
