Dr.Mahesh Kumar Malani is a Pakistani Hindu Brahamin politician, serving as an elected member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.He born in a brahmin family cosidered highest in hindu cast system. Belonging to the ruling Pakistan People's Party, Malani currently serves as the chairman of the Standing Committee for Minorities. He is also President of Pakistan Peoples Party Minority Wing of Sindh province and president of his party in District Tharparkar. His brothers late Motiram Malani and Late Jagdish Malani were also elected members of National Assembly of Pakistan and Provincial Assembly of Sindh respectively. In Tharparker, Dalits consider him as close to the Shiv Sena ideologically because of victimisation of Dalits.
