He played college football at Indiana University and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2009. Thigpen has also been a member of the Denver Broncos, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders, and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
