Sir Henry Norris began to court Margaret Shelton, either during or after her affair with the King. Having in mind that he was interested in having her as a new wife. It is certain that this courtship soon led to an engagement, however her engagement to Norris was broken off when her father died at the age of sixty-two and left his family with financial troubles. During that year, Henry Norris was wrongly accused of adultery (along with four other men) with Queen Anne. Which led to him being executed by beheading on May 17, 1536.
