Maria Purdy Peck (née Purdy; 1840–1914) was American essayist, social economist, and civic leader from New York. Removing to Iowa after marriage, Peck was identified with nearly all the educational, philanthropic, and club work of that state. Possessing a calm, dignified, pleasing personality that made her a well-liked leader, Peck was well known in club circles. She is remembered for her years of working for the public good.
