Mary Laurene Browne (born February 26, 1943) is a Liberian catholic sister, an educator and former president of Stella Maris Polytechnic University in Monrovia. She is also the author of many textbooks and other publications. As an educator, Browne has contributed immensely to the education of hundreds of Liberians home and abroad. As president of the Stella Maris Polytechnic University, Browne played a key role in its transformation from being a little-known polytechnic to one of Liberia's best higher learning institution that has molded some of the country's best and brilliant minds.
