"After her win, Stavin embraced the showbiz lifestyle with open arms.
She became a judge for the beauty pageant and then a Bond girl in Octopussy and A View To A Kill, and for three years, until 1985, was romanced by wayward football legend George Best.
They are still regarded as one of the top 10 most glamorous couples of our time but it all ended in tears after she walked out, blaming his drinking.
Now relations are cool, to say the least, between the couple.
He regales after-dinner audiences with an anecdote about a hotel waiter who once asked "where did it all go wrong?" as he lay on a bed with Stavin, surrounded by bottles of champagne and pounds 25,000 in cash.
She, in turn, describes the story as "cute" but denies she was there."
