The gorgeous actress and scriptwriter has told her close friends it's over, and Newton's publicist Jillian Bowen has confirmed the split.
Newton moved out recently, but he and Otto remain great mates, she said. Newton took up with Otto just after the end of his troubled relationship with Brooke Satchwell, which culminated in him pleading guilty to assaulting her. Although Newton and Otto officially began dating in January last year, they have been friends for some time. They were seen walking hand-in-hand in Leichhardt in June '06. Interestingly, Newton - the son of television legend Bert Newton - moved straight from the Balmain pad he had shared with Satchwell for several years and into the Otto family home.
