admitted to seeing a girl from Toronto in a recent interview:
"Sexy neo-soul singer Maxwell may be from Brooklyn but he currently has a love affair going on with – or should we say in? – Canada. Not only has the 36-year-old artist been putting in 14-hour rehearsals every day for the past two weeks in Toronto for his first arena tour, kicking off tonight at the Air Canada Centre, but he also has a Vancouver girlfriend. “She’s great. Right now (her identity) belongs to me at this point, and I’m just happy that I have somebody around that could be as understanding as she truly, truly is,” he said on the phone from his rehearsal space in Toronto this week.
