Melanie Wade Goodwin was a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly, who represented the state's 66th House district for three terms. First elected in 2004, she announced that she would not seek a fourth term in 2010. She served two terms as Chair of the House Election Laws and Campaign Finance Reform Committee and House co-chair of the Joint Legislative Administrative Procedures Oversight Committee.
