Merryl H. Tisch (born c.) is currently the Chairman of the SUNY Board of Trustees, and the former Chancellor of the New York State Board of Regents. She is the wife of James S. Tisch, an heir to the Loews Corporation. In November 2015, she stepped down from her role after nearly 20 years on the board.
