Baby is here!
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, 38, and his wife Lauren Sorrentino, 36, have welcomed their first child, a son named Romeo Reign Sorrentino, on Wednesday, May 26, the reality star announced on Instagram Thursday.
The baby boy weighed in at 6 lbs., 8 oz. and measured 19 inches long, according to the Instagram account for baby Romeo, who was delivered by cesarean section.
The couple revealed the exciting news on their respective Instagram pages alongside photos of the newborn wrapped in a blanket adorned with his moniker.
Last month, the couple celebrated their baby boy on the way with a shower at their New Jersey home. The couple, who wed in November 2018, exclusively shared highlights from their shower in a video with PEOPLE.
"We had such an amazing time showering baby Sitch this weekend with our closest family and friends! The day was truly magical, you could feel the love in the room," the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation stars told PEOPLE.
"We are counting down the days until we meet our sweet baby boy!" added the couple, who shared photos from the shower that were captured by Kylee Yee Photography.
The Sorrentinos announced their pregnancy news on social media in November, sharing photos of themselves and their beloved dog Mosey in their kitchen with "Baby Sorrentino May 2021" written in flour across their kitchen island. In December, they shared they were expecting a boy.
Sorrentino and his longtime love tied the knot on Nov. 1, 2018, at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, a source confirmed to PEOPLE at the time.

The Sitch just got hitched!
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino married his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, on Thursday (or Jerzday, rather) at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, Us Weekly reports.
“We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife!” Sorrentino, 36, and Pesce, 33, gushed in an exclusive statement to Us. “We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything. Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way. Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino.”
Sorrentino proposed to Pesce on Valentine’s Day when she visited him in Miami while filming season 2 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
“I approached the executive producers and I let them know, ‘Listen I really want to do this. This show is really special to me. This is the show that introduced me to the world,’” the MTV personality told Us exclusively in April. “It was really special for me to do this, to get down on one knee on Jersey Shore.”
Pesce added at the time, “I had high expectations for when this happened and he went above and beyond my expectations. He really impressed me with all of it.”
Sorrentino's fellow Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast members Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Angelina Pivarnick, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro attended the wedding. Farley and Polizzi’s 4-year-old daughters, Meilani and Giovanna, respectively, were flower girls.
A very pregnant Cortese, who is due in December, shared a photo of herself and her husband, Chris Buckner, all dressed up to attend the ceremony. Pivarnick also posted a picture of her and her fiancé, Chris Larangeira.
And despite getting into yet another public dispute just last week, Ortiz-Magro brought his on-off girlfriend and mother of his daughter, Jen Harley. Harley shared a video of herself getting ready on her Instagram Stories, and so it seems the couple is working on their relationship (again).
Meanwhile, Sorrentino and Pesce could not appear more in love ahead of their big day. The couple each wrote a few nice words for each other on Instagram Thursday.
"Today I marry my best friend , My College Sweetheart, My everything," Sorretino captioned the picture below. "Together as a team we can accomplish anything. I am so grateful that you are by my side. I promise to be my best self everyday & make you proud to call yourself Mrs. Sorrentino. Love you with all my heart. Here’s to our big day."
Aside from celebrating their love for each other, Pesce couldn't help but tease plans for a baby in the couple's future. "Happy wedding day honeys! Today I marry my best friend and soul mate, without you I wouldn’t be whole. I love you forever Michael Paul ♥️ now it’s baby making time!," she wrote.
Any pregnancy plans might be put on hold for a few months, though. In October, The couple learned in the final stages of wedding planning that Sorrentino had been sentenced to eight months in prison and two years of supervised probation in his tax evasion case. He has been ordered to surrender no earlier than January 15, 2019, which leaves the couple some time to spend the holidays together as newlyweds.
“He just wants to get his time done, come home and start his life over. The wedding has been a great distraction for him,” a source close to the reality star recently told Us. “He really wants to spend as much time as he can with her before she leaves.”
In a statement issued to Cosmopolitan.com, Sorrentino's rep said, "[Mike] anticipates to come back stronger as an individual and couple in the same healthy mind set that he has had for the last 3 years. He and Lauren are both so thankful for everyones support and prayers!"

We've got a romantic situation on our hands!
E! News has learned Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his longtime girlfriend Lauren Pesce are engaged.
Lauren confirmed the news on Instagram with the caption "current situation" and an engagement ring emoji.
Mike added, "GYM TAN WE'RE ENGAGED!! THE FUTURE MR & MRS SITUATION."
"I'm currently living the dream and proposed to my college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, amongst my best friends on the biggest reality show in the country," the reality star shared with Us Weekly who first broke the news. "We are so proud and excited to share this chapter of our story with the world."
In tonight's all-new episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, viewers watched Mike reveal his plans to pop the question to his ladylove.
As we know now, it's happening in a future episode very soon!
The couple first met while in college and started dating long before Jersey Shore even began. While they called things off before the show started filming, the pair was able to reconcile when the show wrapped in 2012. They have been together ever since and have documented their love story on social media.
"I've watched him work hard in silence for years, personally and professionally, without getting any recognition. He didn't do it for anyone to notice, he did it to better himself, his life and to create a healthy and positive future for us as a family," Lauren recently shared on Instagram. "I am so proud of you for all you've overcome & the incredible man you are today. You inspire me everyday to be my best and I'm over the moon and filled with emotion that the world is finally able to see your true self at your core. May God continue to bless you, our family, friends & fans forever! Feeling lots of love today!"
Sorrentino proposed while his college sweetheart was visiting Miami, the reality star told Us, explaining he always wanted to do it on the show. “Once we got the chance to do Family Vacation, I approached the executive producers and I let them know, ‘Listen I really want to do this. This show is really special to me. This is the show that introduced me to the world,’” he said. “It was really special for me to do this, to get down on one knee on Jersey Shore.”
However, he had help planning the big moment. “His friends from Jersey Shore are like siblings to him. They’re so close, so supportive and they each had a role in planning the engagement while I was down there and I had no idea they’d be so involved in that,” Pesce, 32, said. “It was really special and it really meant a lot to both of us that they wanted to be involved and put so much effort into wanting to make it perfect.”
The couple headed to Pier Village in Long Branch, New Jersey, as well as Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant for their engagement shoot on Thursday, April 26.
I Do, I Always Have
While the couple, who met in college in 2009, have been talking about getting engaged for years, Pesce was still surprised when Sorrentino, 35, popped the question on Valentine’s Day in Miami. “I had no idea what I was getting into when I was heading down to Miami to visit them,” she told Us.
The Perfect Ring
Pesce had already picked out the ring she loved – a 3-carat cushion cut diamond, set in an 18-karat rose gold and platinum setting, accented with pink diamonds, worth around $65,000. “I had explained to producers that I needed to get this ring, if I needed to get something right, it needed to be this ring,” the reality star said, laughing. His fiancée added: “He made my dreams come true with the ring. I’m a type-A, picky person. I know exactly what I like when I see it. I had high expectations for when this happened and he went above and beyond my expectations. He really impressed me with all of it.”
Congratulations to the couple on their big news!
