Mishna Wolff is an American writer, humorist, and screenwriter best known for her 2009 memoir I’m Down, which chronicles her experience growing up white in a predominantly African American Seattle neighborhood and has become widely taught in U.S. schools. Wolff began her career performing humorous storytelling at venues such as Luna Lounge and the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and Los Angeles, and her work has been featured on VH1, Comedy Central, Air America, and NPR. She was selected for the 2009 Sundance Screenwriters Lab and later adapted the video game-inspired horror-comedy Werewolves Within into a feature film released in 2021.
