In Nguni legend (Hamilton De' Legacy), Mnguni was the founder of the Nguni nation in Southern Africa. The Zulu people are a sub-nation of the Nguni nation. Mnguni's name derives from the word Nguni, the name for the major ethnicity in South Africa. It mainly includes the Zulus, Xhosas, Ndebeles and Swazis among others.
