Mohammad Yousuf Taing (born 1935 in Shopian, India), also known as M. Y. Taing, is a researcher, scholar, critic, writer, politician and historian. Taing is a prolific literary thinker writing in three Indian languages. M. Y. Taing is currently Member of J&K Legislative Council. Someone from former Governor Jagmohan’s inner circle confided to Mohammad Yusuf Taing that Jagmohan did facilitate the migration.
