Indian Activist Mohandas K. Gandhi was born Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on 2nd October, 1869 in Porbandar, Kathiawar Agency, Bombay Presidency, British India and passed away on 30th Jan 1948 Birla House, New Delhi, India aged 78. He is most remembered for leading India to independence from British rule through nonviolent resistance. He is celebrated for pioneering the use of satyagraha, a philosophy of nonviolent protest, which inspired civil rights movements worldwide. Additionally, he advocated for social reforms within India, particularly concerning women's rights and the rights of Dalits (formerly known as untouchables).. His zodiac sign is Libra.
