Monoranjan Bhattacharya, nicknamed Mona, born at Kolkata, India is an Indian Football international player and a club level Coach and Manager. During his playing career he represented the "Big Two" of Kolkata football East Bengal Club and Mohun Bagan AC. He also represented India in various international tournaments from 1978 till 1989. He had an operation on his left leg in August 2016. Tollygunge Agragami have sacked him after an abysmal start to the 2018/19 Calcutta Premier Division ‘A’ campaign, which has seen them fail to win a league match this season. The Moore Avenue-based club have lost all four of its matches and are sitting on the bottom of the log without points from four matches and has also failed to score a single goal in the process. He will be replaced by former Air India coach Bimal Ghosh against Food Corporation of India on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
