Amitay (born July 5, 1936, died February 10, 2023) was a former executive director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) (1974–1980), former vice chairman of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), and the founder and treasurer of the Washington Political Action Committee.
