Murder of Ahmet Yıldız was a case of anti-LGBT hate crime that occurred on 15 July 2008 in Üsküdar, Istanbul. His murder by the hands of his father Yahya Yıldız, has been widely referred to as the first known case of gay honor killing in Turkey.
