Nicolae Penescu (February 28, 1897 – February 28, 1981) was a Romanian lawyer and politician. A member of the National Peasants' Party (PNŢ), he served as interior minister from November 4 to December 6, 1944. After spending years in prison and internal exile, he emigrated to France, where he was active in denouncing the Communist regime.
