Nina Pinto-Abecasis ( 1971 – 22 July 2019 ) was an Israeli folklorist and humor researcher. She was a teaching fellow at the Ladino Research Center at Bar-Ilan University . Her research focuses on the Haketia language and the culture of the Jews of northern Morocco. In 2015 she won the Ben-Zvi prize for the study of Israeli communities in the East.
