Norah Alawadhi (born 12 January 1990) is an Emirati pro-peace activist and social media influencer, best known as the woman in the viral UAE-Israel flag photo against the Burj Khalifa from October 6, 2020. The photograph, which was shared by thousands including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ivanka Trump, and Emirati billionaire Hassan Sajwani, depicts Alawadhi holding hands with Israeli travel influencer Ronny Gonen covered in their respective flags, and facing the Burj Khalifa from atop a skyscraper in Dubai. Alawadhi has been described across media outlets as “the face of the historic peace deal” and between Arabs as the “face of betrayal” referencing the normalisation of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Israel following the signing of Abraham Accords peace agreement at the White House in September 2020.
