Obanosa, originally known as Osifo Akengbuda, was the thirty-first Oba of the Benin Kingdom, reigning from c. – c.. His reign was marked by a notable conflict known as the Okpughe. Little is known about Obanosa's early life, including specific details about his birth date and place of birth. However, historical records indicate his royal lineage within the Benin Kingdom, and he ascended to the throne following the passing of his predecessor, Oba Akengbuda.
