In 1953 she enrolled in the Academy of Dramatic Art of Small Theater by Giorgio Strehler of which she became the favorite pupil.
After a year she became Strehler’s partner and it was a scandal. She was twenty years old, he was 32 and he was married, there was no divorce and, moreover, he lived alone, he was leftist and he was an artist.
