Othniel (; Hebrew: עָתְנִיאֵל בֶּן קְנַז, ʿOṯnīʾēl ben Qenaz) was the first of the Biblical judges. The etymology of his name is uncertain, but may mean "God/He is my strength" or "God has helped me".
