Palaephatus (Greek: Παλαίφατος) was the original author of a rationalizing text on Greek mythology, the work of paradoxography On Incredible Tales (Greek: Περὶ ἀπίστων (ἱστοριῶν); Peri apiston (historion); Latin: Incredibilia), which survives in a (probably corrupt) Byzantine edition.
