Paul Mark Goldbart (born August 1960 in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England) is a physicist and author, and was the first director of the Institute for Condensed Matter Theory at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. His research ranges widely over the field of condensed matter physics, including soft matter, disordered systems, nanoscience and superconductivity. Goldbart is currently Dean of the College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as Dean of the College of Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology and, prior to that as the director of the Institute for Condensed Matter Theory.
