Jersey Shore star Pauly D's one-time Miami love interest, Rocio Olea, is speaking out for the first time exclusively telling Examiner.com she's hoping to rekindle her relationship with Pauly D. Jersey Shore fans were as smitten with Rocio during Jersey Shore Season 2 as Pauly D was with the Cuban-born beauty. But when the MTV reality stars packed up and left Miami Rocio and Pauly D drifted apart and their relationship fizzled out.
Rocio tells Examiner.com she decided now was the right time to speak out publicly about Pauly D - for the first time ever - because she recently broke up with her boyfriend. "I didn't think it would be fair to him (her ex boyfriend who she met after Jersey Shore Season 2 stopped filming) to speak about Pauly D while we were together....I wanted people to know my side...I wanted to say my experience about the show and about (Pauly)."
Rocio, who is a college student in Miami, says she met Pauly D at a club in May (just weeks before Jersey Shore Season 2 filming wrapped) and to her surprise they danced for hours. "When I first met him (I thought) that he was going to go on to the next girl...but for a few hours we danced." She says that was the first of many nights and dates they spent together. Rocio say she once asked Pauly about pictures of himself with other girls that were published in the media. "He told me they were 'BR - Before Rocio' I thought that was so cute."
Rocio remembers Pauly D was always a true genteman and called or met up with her whenever producers allowed. She giggles when she remembers a night when the Jersey Shore star lent her a pair of his socks because she had blisters on her feet from dancing in high heels for hours. "He's such a sweetie, he never disrespected me, he was always very nice."
Rocio admits Pauly's jam-packed schedule and her simpler lifestyle have made it hard for them to keep in touch. "He sent me a text in October - out of the blue," Rocio says but she had a boyfriend at the time. Now things have changed - Rocio's single again and she is hoping to rekindle the romance and build on the chemistry she knows she and Pauly felt for each other. Reports that MTV is considering taking the cast back to Miami for Jersey Shore Season 4 give Rocio hope for her and Pauly. "I hope they do..."
